When asked for a favorite memory, this care center resident related this story: “When I met my husband I was living in a boatyard and my husband asked who I was. I was chasing my brother while on crutches and when I caught up with him I hit him in the back of his ankle making him fall. My husband decided I was the one he wanted to raise his children”. This spirited lady is involved in many activities, including crocheting, jewelry making, and bingo. At one point she was a pre-school teacher. Today she continues to teach by leading the other care center residents in a Saturday craft project. For Christmas gifts she would like a night gown, sweater and pants. For treats she requested a cup holder for a wheelchair, Coke, and packets of dried fruit.
